Linen is, by far, the most coveted fabrication of the season, coming to us in the form of beautiful cool trousers, earth-toned camis, sweet jumpsuits and gorgeous summer blazers.

Australian labels like Nice Martin and Arthur Apparel have created collections that are saturated with the fibre, while we are seeing tees in linen blends from other Aussie brands like Assembly Label and even Sportsgirl has joined the trend, with some gorgeous summer pieces.

And it’s all for good reason.

Linen is a beautiful fabric, made from the natural fibres of the flax plant that is lovely and cool to wear – perfect for summer - with a structured, textured look.

When sustainably produced, Linen is a much-desired eco-friendly fabric, which is partly the reason for its popularity.

If you are new to the fabric, note that linen creases very easily but otherwise, it is a total dream to wear. First timers, choose natural earthy colours and pair with contrasting textures, like soft cottons or leather for a mod look.
