Nominated for this year’s Oscars, Jennifer Lawrence is Hollywood's hottest commodity, so we decided to show you this Lawrence inspired smokey eye with a little feline flick, perfect for the red carpet!

Step one – apply an eyeshadow base like the Eyeshadow Primer by Australis ($12.95), this will ensure your powder products will stay all night without creasing!

Step 2 – with a fluffy blending brush, apply the colour ‘Selfish’ from the Balms’ Nude ‘Tude Palette ($49.95) all over the eyelid, into the crease and extend it outward toward the hairline.

Step 3 – Using a smaller blending brush, swipe ‘Sophisiticated’ from the Nude Tude palette across the socket and out toward the edge of ‘Selfish’ which we previously applied, here we are creating shadow which helps those with a hooded lid.

Step 4 – take a densely packed eyeshadow brush and press the matte brown-black colour ‘sleek’ from the Nude ‘Tude palette into the upper and lower lash line of the eye. On the top lid, ensure the shadow tapers in at the inner corner, and out into a point on the outer eye, this creates a ‘lifted effect’. Blend and feather out the edges to keep it soft.

Step 5 – Eyelashes are very important for those with hooded eyes, so take your most lengthening and volumising mascara, I use the Hypnose Drama by Lancome, and after curling your lashes, apply it in two coats to the upper and lower lashes.

Step 6 – To finish off the eye look, apply a set of strip false lashes to the upper lash line. These will add drama and enhance the smokey effect of this glamorous eye look. For this look, I used ‘Oh, Honey!’ lashes by Katy Perry for eyelure ($14.99).

Step 7 – Apply a light foundation or bb cream to the face, so your skin's natural glow can shine through, try Garnier BB cream for oily skin ($13.99).

Step 8- Afterwards, swipe some under eye concealer like Benefit’s Erase Paste ($30) under the eye and clean up the extended shadow.

Step 9– To achieve Jennifer’s rosy glow, apply a baby pink powder blush with a slight shimmer for a radiant look, try MAC ‘Dainty’ ($43) blush to get this look!

Step 10 – Lastly, apply a nude lipstick with a pinkish hue, I used YSL Rouge Volupte lipstick in number 1 ($55).

Step 11 - Rock it like Katniss!
