Saoirse's Ronan's haunting beauty and considerable acting chops have attracted the attention of film directors and cinema goers the world over. She has received acclaim for roles in films such as Atonement and  Peter Jackson's The Lovely Bones. This week, to celebrate the release of the movie adaptation of Twilight author Stephenie Myer's The Host, we're showing you how to get her ethereal makeup look.

Step 1 - For this look we don't want to look too over done, so keep the skin looking nice and natural by applying a product such Yves Saint Laurent Teint Touche Eclat Foundation ($75) to even out tone without masking the skin!

Step 2 - Groom the brows with Napoleon Perdis Brow Pencil in Pale Rider ($20). Try to avoid creating harsh lines so use a light hand to fill in any gaps in your brows and follow the natural shape.

Step 3 - Saoirse is famous for her beautiful blue eyes, and this simple neutral makeup with a bit of shimmer enhances their natural beauty. Try applying a base colour with your fingers, like Inika Creme Colour in Champagne ($39) to add a glow and prepare for further product.

Step 4 - Blend a shimmery taupe eyeshadow, such as Prepped For Glamour by MAC ($33), over the outer half of the lid, and up to the crease. Also smudge this into the lower lash line, only dragging it half way in. Blend the edges well to keep the look soft!

Step 5 - Line the inner rim (or waterline) of the eyes using a soft khol pencil in black, try Dessin Du Regard by Yves Saint Laurent in Velvet Black ($44). Using a black colour around the eyes makes the irises pop!

Step 6 - Work a black mascara into the roots of the lashes and wiggle the wand through the lengths. Apply two coats for some added drama. Loving Lush Mascara from Eles Cosmetics, which is loaded with vitamins and proteins for healthy lashes ($35.75).

Step 7 - To finish the eyes and make them pop, apply a shimmery white or cream coloured loose eyeshadow to the inner corners and blend the edges. I love Sheer Design Eye Dust in the colour Icecream ($25) as it is really bright and shimmery - perfect for this purpose!

Step 8 - To add a natural flush to the cheeks like Saoirse, instead of reaching for a powder blush, try a cream or gel form to keep the glow that was added with the foundation. I'm loving Inika Dusty Rose Creme Colour ($39) applied sparingly with the fingers. Before moving on, add some to the lips too, as you would a lip balm - creme blushes are multi-purpose!

Step 9 - Now add shine to the lips with Napoleon Perdis Luminous Lip Veil in Naked Truth ($27). Something clear that shows the rosy colour of the lips but adds shimmer and shine!

Step 10 - To get the full look put your hair into a low pony and pull out pieces at the top of the forehead to frame the face, then lightly curl them with a curling rod and you're ready to go!
