We’re absolutely loving this deep and dark makeup look from Lorde. With her exemplary makeup track record, it’s no wonder she’s become a girl crush among the beauty world – she even has a MAC Cosmetics collection inspired by her coming out next month!

STEP 1:

Start off by acing your base. Choose a light-reflecting liquid foundation and apply with your fingertips, starting from the centre of your face and blending out.
 
STEP 2:

For Lorde’s dewy glow, apply a cream highlighter along your cheekbones and down the bridge of your nose.
 
STEP 3:  

Lorde’s brows are definitely defined, but they’re subtle, so using an eyebrow pencil, softly outline the shape of your brows then use small, dash-like strokes to fill them in.
 
STEP 4:

We want all of the attention to be on your pout, so keep the eyes simple and natural with a light bronze cream eye shadow on the lids. Finish with gently smudged black pencil eyeliner on your top lash line and a few coats of black mascara.
 
STEP 5:

Now for those lips! First outline the shape of your lips using a lip liner that matches your lipstick, making the cupids bow (the dip at the top of your lips) extra sharp, before colouring them in. Then with a dark plum lip colour and a lip brush, gently apply your lipstick over the top.
