Browsing Aubrey Daquinag’s style and travel blog The Love Assembly will leave you with a serious case of wanderlust. Her photo-heavy blog chronicling her island hopping adventures around the Philippines and her eye-opening pilgrimage to India, has us mentally planning our next escape.

Describing her style as simple, relaxed and a bit bohemian, Aubrey has made an art out of looking effortlessly cool and trendy while she’s out of town. We asked her for her top tips for packing and staying stylish abroad.

How do you maintain your personal style while on the road?

My style is simple, effortless and influenced by different cultures and destinations around the world. This makes it easy for me when it comes to maintaining my style while travelling. I pack basic and classic pieces that mix and match and pick up accessories from different cultures along the way.

What travel beauty essentials can’t you live without?

A good face and body moisturiser and organic rose hip oil. As for makeup, all I need is my YSL Touche Éclat concealer and highlighter pen, NARS two-in-one lip and cheek balm and the blackest of black mascara.

What’s your perfect plane ensemble?

A cotton tunic, black leggings, a warm long cardi, slip-on shoes (ballet flats or loafers) and a soft cashmere scarf. Comfort is key!

What city is the best for shopping?

Hong Kong. There's a mix of markets, local designers, high street and luxury labels that are cheaper to buy there! And Paris has the most fashionable locals. Their effortless and classic take on fashion never goes out of style.

What have been your most challenging and most relaxing holiday destinations?

Prague. Getting completely lost, ending up in what seems to be the 'burbs and getting fined for not having proper tickets was quite challenging! The most relaxing would have to be El Nido, Palawan in the Philippines. Think sunshine, sea, tropical fruit shakes in infinity pools and afternoon siestas in tree-hanging hammocks. Bliss!

What has travelling taught you about yourself?

How much I love and can adapt to change; that travelling doesn't actually get travelling out of your system; what a great packer I am; that I don't actually need that much to be happy; that sometimes it's better to ditch the plans and just go with it; that I love to fly; that learning new things is one of my favourite things to do; that the more I wander, the more I want to see in this world!

Where would you like to go to next?

Tulum in Mexico!
