Timothea, your first outfit choice - old jeans, converse, and a loose tee... is this your go to outfit for mooching about?

I wouldn’t exactly call it mooching about. Mooching about, that’s more like Island Trackies and my old Ripe Maternity Seamless Slip which by the way, seems to last forever! This outfit is more like taking the kids to kinder, doing the shopping, dropping into work and hanging in the park. I’d even take this outfit to a local Vic St or pub dinner. The top is a silk Gorman piece from a while back and its one of my favourites. Sometimes, if I buy a great top I will save it for more dressed up occasions and once I feel it’s had a good show I will wear it on a casual basis. The jeans are actually new! G-Star boyfriend style and the converse, although actually a new pair as well are an old friend in my wardrobe.

What does a typical weekday for you involve work wise and fashion wise?

That can vary because I work a lot from home. My partner and I head Lump Sculpture Studio so what I wear to work will depend on what I am doing there. If I am just popping in for a meeting or to pick up some paper work then I wear an outfit that is most like the jeans and top I wore first. But if I am on the tools and I am there to get my hands dirty then I suit up in my Lump T-shirt, skinny jeans and 10 up Cherry Docs. Lump Studio is a large and well-equipped design and manufacture space specialising in creating original contemporary urban art pieces. We make decorative screens, light features and sculptures. We are renowned for thinking and designing outside the square, catering for smaller private works, design commissions for architectural and landscape environments, and also design and manufacture for public art projects. We love love love the Navy jacket and spotty top ensemble, so chic! And those boots, where are they from? Details please!

Me too! This is one of those (I think) great tops and I wore this entire outfit to our Lump Christmas party. The Navy jacket is from Zara, the spotty top is a sheer piece stitched with thousands of tiny sequins from a Gorman collection probably two summers ago. The pony hair boots are also from Gorman, don’t get me started on those. OMG. There was just no way that I was not going to have them! The old shorts are well, old cheap shorts from Jeanswest that I wear all the time.

If you had an unlimited budget for fashion – what designers would you love to own a piece of?

Unlimited budget? I would buy a few pieces for the beach by Camilla from the summer collection just gone. But then I would be in a frenzy over Burberry, Christian Dior, Coco Chanel, Chloe, and the list goes on and on.

You really have a relaxed yet elegant style, has your style changed over the years?

Wow, thanks, what a great compliment. Yes, I have changed HEAPS! From my try hard Goth days as a teenager to market / festival Hippy chic style in my early twenties. I love those cringing moments thinking OMG did I really wear that! For a while there it felt like I NEVER got out of my Lump T-shirt and boots, half the time Chris (husband and partner in crime) and I would be working so late that we would just go out in our work gear and although that was easy I always thought it was disappointing not to be dressing up a little. We have 2 kids now and I feel like I have been able to relax more with my wardrobe and I am enjoying the variety.

There's nothing like all black for a easy elegance, do you wear this outfit often.

Yes this is a favourite outfit, this all black ensemble. Gorman Shoes, Black shiny jeans from Decjuba a swing top and crop jacket form Saba and a black purse from Collette. Simple.

You've got some pretty funky shoes in your collection, where are you favourite hunting grounds for shoes and accessories?

Mostly I stop first at Gorman, mainly because I know I can always find something to fall in love with. Then I get online and I hunt. Anthopology, shopstyle, iconic, asos, surf stitch, birds nest. I don’t normally go big on accessories but my latest love encouraged by my sister is the variety of rope necklaces by Emeldo.com

Which designers and brands do you go back to and love to wear?

Gorman, mostly. I’m dedicated. And G-Star.

Are there particular shapes, colour and cuts that you know work for you?

I like colour and pattern so I will normally find that in a top and pair that up with some jeans, shorts or cargos. I like baggy jeans to sit low on my hips and I like skinny jeans to sit mid waist to avoid muffin top. I like T-shirts that don’t stick to my belly and I have small boobs so a high neckline is good. I’ve got reasonably long pins so paired with the small boobs a shift dress with a high neckline seems to work well.

How would you describe your style in 3 words?

Casual, colourful, enthusiastic.

What item in your wardrobe was your biggest splurge, and which was your best bargain?

The biggest splurge is my Rip Curl Flashbomb Wet Suit but it’s worth every penny. Biggest bargain, I would have to say is my Navy blue blazer because of just how much I wear it.

Have you got any “mistakes” in your wardrobe, pieces you brought and know you'll never wear?

Yeah! Heaps! But in particular a beautiful summer Gorman dress that I bought on sale a size too big. It is also backless and I just can’t cope with that in real life.

Which blogs or magazines do you read regularly for style inspiration?

Every so often I will salivate over Harper’s Bazaar. But generally my inspiration for what I buy is driven by why or for what reason I think I actually need something new.

On skincare, your skin is immaculate, how do you look after it?

Until just last year I only ever used Cetafil and a $7 moisturiser from the chemist. But now I am in love the range of products from Rationale and I use them every night. I have also started having Chemical peels at the local dermatologist and I love them. I think I will spend more time with my dermatologist as I get older, chemical peels, IPL, fraxel, thermage, botox, bring it on.

And your favourite beauty products?

Eyelash Extensions, Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray, Sunscreen Mist Spray, mascara and lip stain.

Finally Timothea, what's you regime for keeping your hair gorgeous?

Don’t wash it any more than absolutely necessary and even then, give it a day or so. Then, fill it full of salt water.
