On a damp and drizzly evening late last week, baby, it was warm inside as hip vintage concept store, Penny Arcade, played host to the launch of Bracewell's super cool Spring Summer Collection in definitive arty style.
The arty cherry on the fashion cake was the launch of an exhibition by London based Illustrative artist, Erin Petson. Commissioned to design a serious of illustrations inspired by Bracewells Spring /Summer 2007 range, on display were a series of beautiful works blending paint, pencil, ink and printed techniques.
To date, this Erin Petson's seventh solo exhibition, including Paris, Hong Kong, Turkey, London, Liverpool - and now Sydney. The limited edition prints were snapped up by the eager crowd.
In attendance were lovers of fashion, art and all things delicious, including Kathryn Eisman (Arena TV), Bridget Currer (Bec & Bridge), Jane Murray (Beauty and the Beast), and of course, Michael Bracewell.
Thumbs up go to kitchen event catering for their incredible food, yummo to the King prawn, mint & bean shoot in rice paper - and the
Peking duck pancakes. Two thumbs up to the Aperol cocktails, whipped up by Mixologists, as a more potent option than the delicious Asahi beer on offer.
Sydney siders who missed out have until 15th September to view the exhibition which will remain on display at Penny Arcade until then. Check out Erin's impressive collection of art and exhibition reviews at www.erinpetson.com
