Meet LADY - the newest addition to High St Armadale.

Historic Kings Arcade was converted into a catwalk runway last week for the launch of LADY, the latest addition to Melbourne’s fashion hot spot, High Street Armadale.

Eclectic and unique from the get-go, 250 LADY helium balloons filled the entrance and set the scene for the night’s festivities. Models posed as mannequins in windows and strutted their stuff on a 12-metre long real grass catwalk. Guests enjoyed the slick live beats of the Rusty Trombone DJs, and in true thirsty Thursday style, washed down fairy bread, cupcakes and sushi with Asahi, Stoli Vodka and V energy drinks.

Stocking a house label of the same name, LADY boasts a strong collection of re-worked vintage pieces, independent local designers, and an approach that combines 17th century fine art with Studio 54 mentality.

Working in collaboration with co-owner Skye-leigh Vallve, Head Designer Petrova Hammond masterminds the unique house label. Brought together by a mutual love of fashion, the dynamic duo impart a confidence that encourages customers to experiment with their wardrobes and develop an individual sense of style.

LADY supports like-minded labels including Sisnme, Mary says Eat Cake, Limedrop, Dot & Shaynee, Emily Basso, Jahlon, George Terrific, Miss T, Scarlett Skye, Tozer, Sharday, Poetry in Motion, Anna Campbell, as well as exclusive customised Alex and Alex shoes.
