Simple zebra floor rug
Can’t afford a real zebra floor rug or printed cowhide? Fear not, one of the best hacks I have seen in a while comes from Bunnings. All it takes is a little patience, a drop cloth and some paint. Here’s the full tutorial.
Ikea chest of drawers hack
IKEA hacks tend to pop up more frequently than others, what with the challenge to make mass-produced things look a bit more special. How can you go past chic DIY campaign chest? Choose a colour that pops for extra impact and select silver, gold or brass hardware to match your current décor.
Ikea Vittsjo DIY
Then there is the hack so good it’s worth its weight in Parisian-chic gold! Transform your IKEA Vittsjo metal and glass display shelves by giving them a coating of gold paint! I have also seen an amazing gold leaf version but that takes a little more skill and time. Click here for the source tutorial.
Stacked magazine coffee table
Girls love a good magazine display, right? Get it working double duty by creating this magazine stack coffee table. It is by far the quickest and easiest way to clear your clutter while creating a unique piece of furniture.
DIY removable wallpaper
Want wallpaper for next to nothing? Head over to your local hardware store, buy some easily removable tape in your favourite hue and get sticking. Why not try a geometric-lined pattern for ease? Start with a central line and build off at different angles. Once you get the hang of it, try different patterns and colours.
Hacks don’t have to be time consuming or messy. They’re really just an ingenious way to get you an on-trend look for next to nothing that all your friends will be swooning over. Get crafty and good luck!
