Emma Watson: Model or Muggle?
From Hermiones's frizzy locks to the sleek looks of the Burberry modelling days - which one is more like the real Emma Watson?

You decide. Off duty she’s scruffy and seemingly makes no effort. On duty she’s effortless: chic, on trend and age appropriate. Do you think Emma Watson wins in the style stakes?

When she’s not strutting her stuff on the red carpet or posing for the likes of Burberry and Lancome, Emma Watson can look as though she’s got her Hermione on. In fact, sometimes she even looks as though she’s got her Hagrid on.

But Harry Potter references aside – and let’s give credit to the series of films from which her career was born – when it counts, Emma Watson rarely gets it wrong.

Take the 23-year old’s recent red carpet appearances to promote her new movies The Bling Ring and This is the End. She always embraces her natural beauty, never overplays her youth and is effortlessly chic in a way that her equally youthful Hollywood counterparts, including Kristen Stewart and Vanessa Hudgens, rarely are. The dresses are short, skin is bared and makeup sexy, but she’s never trashy.

There she is at the LA premiere of The Bling Ring, a flick based on the true story of a gang of LA youth who took to robbing the homes of the rich and famous (including Paris Hilton, who makes a cameo), in a Chanel tweed mini dress no less. But she makes the look her own with a pair of embellished black and silver Guiseppe Zanotti heels, a Swarovski Crystal clutch and Graziela ear cuffs.

And here she is again at the LA premiere of This is the End, the hit comedy starring Seth Rogan and James Franco, looking hot in a Roland Mouret bustier, Phillip Lim pants, Salvatore Ferragamo shoes, Chanel clutch, and Karma El Khalil earrings.

Let’s not forget the simple, yet gorgeous and highly photographed look she donned when arriving in Nice, France to promote The Bling Ring. Her ALC sweater dress and black Ray Bans will undoubtedly result in a litany of copycats.

While you might not have as many high profile events as the luminous Ms Watson, you may be looking to achieve her look on a slightly more realistic budget. For youthful red carpet attire with all the bling of Hollywood, try sass & bide’s evening wear, notably 'The Land of the Free' dress. Or to look as wonderful in white as Watson (pardon the alliteration) head to White Suede for the Jersey Boy Tank dress in winter white.

While Watson has received unanimous praise for he portrayal of Nicki, who is based on the real life Alexis Neiers, a television personality involved in the actual Bling Ring robberies, her on screen outfits are anything but praiseworthy. If you’re trying to style steal any of those, you’ll find yourself in Supre.
