Famous fashion advice ranges from the helpful to the outrageous. Yves Saint Laurent notoriously exclaimed “Fashions fade, style is eternal.” Hmm... Pithy, but a little vague. For more straightforward tips, take note: the following advice is priceless.
1.) "One is never over-dressed or underdressed with a Little Black Dress." — Karl Lagerfeld
Celebrities adore the little black dress, and now you know why. The patriarch of modern fashion, Mr Lagerfeld, knows an LBD is a key piece in every girls’ wardrobe. Fresh takes on the LBD incorporate multiple textures from heavy lace layers to slick leather. Pair with tights for winter, or classic pumps in summer, for an all-weather outfit staple.
2.) "Women think of all colors except the absence of color. I have said that black has it all. White too. Their beauty is absolute. It is the perfect harmony." — Coco Chanel
Mademoiselle Chanel knows black and white looks ultra sleek chic. Combining these monochrome hues is the key to simplistic elegance. This season, incorporate art deco designs into your black and white pieces, or try sequins for a timeless embellishment.
3.) “When in doubt, wear red.” — designer Bill Blass.
Debatable? Sure! But give it a try. After all, Bill Blass is a fashion legend. Red is a great way to add a confident blast of classic colour. An all over red look is a brave statement, while a red cardigan or accessory is more subtle. If bright red is too outlandish, try maroon, paprika, or deep rose.

Fashion statement of the century! Girls love their shoes, with a divine pair easily adding a little boost of confidence. Keep it comfortable though, if heels aren’t your thing look for ornate and intricate flats paired with any outfit. Take it from the stars, this fashion wisdom is sacred.
