How do you feel when you see snaps of jet-setting A-listers looking all fresh and fabulous just moments after stepping off a plane: a) envious; b) inspired; or c) in the mood to book a holiday and/or shop up a storm?
Or there’s d) all of the above. Bet you can guess which option we’re going with…
Granted, one of the main reasons why celebs appear so polished and put-together after spending several hours in the sky is because they get to kick back in first-class luxury, while those of us back in economy usually end up rocking that très chic creased-and-crumpled trend, a look that’s popular with travellers, no matter where you are in the world.
And then there’s the fact that paps are usually camped out in front of airports waiting to snap in- and out-bound stars…if that isn’t motivation enough for A-listers to look their best at all times (even after a long-haul flight), we don’t know what is!
Okay, so while you may not be a frequent first-class traveller or feel the need to look immaculate 24/7 in case paparazzi are hanging around, there’s no reason why you can’t take sartorial inspiration from famous high-fliers and go that extra mile when putting together an in-transit outfit for your next trip.
We rate a lot of celebrities highly when it comes to their airport style, but three stars who always nail it are Miranda Kerr, Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Alba (honourable mentions to Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Victoria Beckham and Kate Bosworth).
