She might be starring in the new romance film Warm Bodies, about a women who falls in love with a zombie, but it’s Teresa Palmer’s warm body that is the envy of women the world over. And not only when she’s strutting her stuff on beaches in South Australia, her home state, or New South Wales, where she often works, or the California coastline, where she now resides with actor/director Mark Webber.

With a string of hit movies under her belt, including her breakthrough performance in the award-winning Aussie film 2:37, last year’s thriller Wish you Were Here and the Adam Sandler film Bedtime Stories to name a few, Palmer, 27, is no stranger to the red carpet. And it’s on the red carpet that she’s proud to flaunt her wares, which, being a committed vegan and self confessed health nut (she and actor Phoebe Tonkin co-founded website www.yourzenlife.com), are in pretty good nick.

Unlike other young actresses in Hollywood, Palmer doesn’t repeatedly go for the big name designers. She has a more organic approach to what works for her shape. She favours a revealing little black dress with sheer elements, but she’ll also go with something body-con in a flattering colour like blue or raspberry.

At the Los Angeles premiere of Warm Bodies she wore a floor length, black lace gown by British designer Phillip Armstrong teamed with a Judith Leiber clutch and some fabulous Jacob Arabov jewels. Palmer then followed up that dramatic look with a more Lolita-esque, figure hugging, pink and black, knee-length dress by Talbot Runhof, which she teamed with Brian Atwood pumps.

But Palmer is also happy to play up her angelic features - big blue eyes, blonde locks and porcelain skin – with paler colours like light greys, silver or nudes. At the Wish you Were Here premiere in Sydney she was luminous in a silver, beaded and feathered Collette Dinnigan dress.

Off duty she’s a Bondi or California babe at heart. She’s often photographed without makeup, slightly grungy and rocking a cute pair of jeans and a simple tee wearing her long blonde locks almost as an accessory, or post yoga in her workout gear.

And like any good Aussie girl she loves local her designers including Camilla and Marc, Collette Dinnigan, Ellery and Sass and Bide.
