What colours would you like to see people wearing this autumn and winter? Are you partial to the rich, moody hues that are usually associated with the cooler months, or will you be sad to see the fresh, vibrant tones of spring and summer hibernate for another season?

Well, we have good news for both colour camps, because if Milan Fashion Week was anything to go by, this season you’ll be able to enjoy the best of both worlds.

While traditional bold autumn/winter colours (like red, royal blue and berry tones) and transseasonal shades (such as black, white, grey, brown and neutrals) ruled the runway, pops of lively colour and soothing sorbet shades – which we normally associate with spring and summer – were also commonplace on the catwalk. A little unexpected? Perhaps. Are we excited about the blurring of lines between seasonal palettes? Definitely.

If you’re curious to find out which colours you should be keeping an eye out for this autumn and winter, you’re in luck because we’ve compiled 50 snaps showcasing all (well, quite a lot of them, anyway) the different shades seen on the Milan Fashion Week runways. Are you ready to take style notes, ladies?
