Last week, we crossed the Harbour Bridge and discovered two stylish suburbs that you need to know about – Cammeray and Northbridge. Separated by a medieval, sandstone bridge, they are both bursting with unique boutiques that offer a stunning selection of fashion and homewares. My advice: Hit these chic suburbs before you head to Westfield or Chatswood Chase and you won’t be disappointed. Oh, and refuel with a Campos coffee from Milk Bar in Northbridge, next door to the lovely Mrs Watson – read below to meet her and more. So without adieu, here are our pick of the Best Boutiques in Cammeray and Northbridge
Lambertus Clothing carries a stylish collection and wide variety of ladies wear. Fall in love with the super stylish Mrs Watson! This north-side boutique has been fitting out the North Shore fashionistas for the past 12 years. From uber cool DL Premium Denim, to TIBI, to Christian Lacroix, Malene Birger and Danish brand Custommade, you won’t leave empty handed. Delicate gold and cotton jewellery and leather clutches in eye-popping colours from Daisy Lourdes are ideal for the upcoming season. As is French label Christophe Sauvat, which has just dropped in store, stirring one’s inner bohemian goddess. A line consisting of beautifully made dresses and accessories using ancient, traditional forms of printing and embroidery, the Tulum dress evokes balmy nights, salt-crusted hair and mint juleps. If you are going to cross the bridge make this your first stop.

Feminina is a colourful and unique boutique in Cammeray, comprising of gifts, homewares, jewellery and clothing. Upon entry, Leopard and zebra print clutches and wallets catch the eye, while Ecoya candles line the shelves in an array of candy colours and delicious scents. Indian cotton cushions are displayed among pillows printed with the oversized faces of a sulphur crested cockatoo and galah and hand-painted ceramic bowls. Clothing racks comprise of summer kaftans, Kardashian denim, and the very cool Australian label, Asilio.

Head to Northbridge Plaza for the stunning, lifestyle store Quintessence. This boutique stocks a huge range of local and international brands. With beautiful homewares, jewellery, handbags, fragrances, bed linen, body lotions, children’s toys and more, finding the perfect gift for that someone special or a few treats for yourself is made easy. Shelves are lined with Palm Beach Collection candles, French Savon de Marseille and Murchison Hume products, while larger than life flowers spill from urns and Bianca Lorenne, couture bed linen is piled high.
