Are you sick of winter and counting down the days until spring? Okay, we admit the weather hasn’t been too chilly this season, but we can’t help but hanker for those warm, sun-kissed days and balmy nights.
The key to surviving the rest of winter is finding an activity to keep you occupied during your downtime. This way, you’ll be so busy over the coming weeks that spring will be here before you know it!
While some may opt to spend a few extra hours at the gym, curl up under a blanket and enjoy a good book or movie, or meet up with friends, our pastime of choice is – yep, you guessed it – indulging in a spot of retail therapy. Shopping is the perfect way to while away time, because: a) who doesn’t love a good shopping spree?; b) it’s good for your health (did you know that the average woman burns about 160 calories an hour when hitting the shops?); and c) you can shop and catch up with the girls at the same time. How’s that for multitasking?

We love the winter sale period because it means that spring and summer are literally just around the corner (goodbye sloppy joes and sweaters, and hello shorts and flirty sundresses!), plus it’s one of the few times you can go on a shopping spree and not feel guilty about it, especially if you snap up trendy transseasonal buys and classic winter essentials to stow away for next year!
