Trawling for winter jackets online, clad in flannelette pyjamas with a red wine in hand, you start to realise how hard it is to find a fashionable AND warm coat for under the 100-dollar mark.
We thought we’d do the hunting for you and found 10 winter jackets that will complement your wardrobe and your personal style.
When choosing outerwear this season, wear what you love. Long, cropped, leather, cotton, denim – they’re all in. One style is bound to take your fancy so you can stay extra warm and play it ultra-cool.
Your standard-issue parka now comes in a range of earthy, on-trend tones. If you have to commit to one colour, make it military green. This marries nicely with denim, navy and a white striped tee.
The cropped biker jacket is back with a vengeance! A collarless biker-style jacket will have your back for years to come and works perfectly over pants, skirts and your favourite LBD!
Do you own a waterfall-style jacket or cardigan, where the front flows and gives you a gorgeous shape to hide under? This style covers up your bottom and is flattering because of its length. Big tick to comfort, too!
Denim anoraks, which sport a hood and cinch at the waist with a drawstring, are storming the high street. They’re not the cosiest of coats but think of this jacket as a layering item and wear your thick knits underneath. Definitely a weekend must-have.
If you haven’t already snapped up an oversized boyfriend coat then do so immediately. Pastel peach, mint and baby blue are all trending. Try pairing with a slick ponytail, heels and a pair of ripped denim jeans.
