Jennifer Lawrence is the girl on fire in more ways than one. Not only is she a hot commodity in Hollywood (hands up if you’ve seen the A-lister reprise her role as Katniss Everdeen – a.k.a. the original ‘Girl on Fire’ – in the latest instalment of The Hunger Games or alongside Bradley Cooper in her other recently released flick, Serena…anyone?), but the in-demand actress has also won over the hearts of people around the world for being refreshingly candid, charming, cheeky and real. After all, do you know any other actress who regularly photobombs or facepalms other celebs; talks about the dangers of camel toe or their love of Spanx in interviews; or gets visibly star struck when they spy other movie stars on the red carpet? Here, J Law is seen wearing a chic black suit while heading back to her hotel after appearing on the Late Show with David Letterman. Notice how the crop top (you can see a sliver of skin peeking out behind the boyfriend blazer) and cut-out heels lend the all-black ensemble a cool, edgy vibe and a hint of sexiness. While you might like to recreate this look as is to wear to dinner or out to a bar, for an outfit that’s more office-appropriate in style, all you need to make is a few simple tweaks – simply switch the strappy heels for a pair of pumps or booties, and the figure-hugging crop top for one that’s boxy and more tailored in style.

Given that she’s a brand ambassador for leading fashion house Dior, it’s no surprise that J Law is often snapped wearing exquisite designs from its collectiom, like the stunning dress she’s pictured wearing here. Laidback flair
While Jen looks a million bucks on the red carpet, it’s when she’s wearing cool, casual attire that she looks most comfortable and like herself. Pure elegance
Isn’t this elegant ensemble positively dreamy? Sure, this Christian Dior couture white silk-jacquard number isn’t the most daring of dresses, but its midi length and voluminous skirt certainly make it stand out…and for all the right reasons. As many of us don’t get the opportunity to frequent many premieres or other black-tie events, we’ve pulled together an outfit that’s more suited to cocktail parties and other dressy but not overly formal soirees instead. Glam rock
When you have a rockstar boyfriend, you’ve got to look the part, right? As you can see here, the glam rock look is one that (unsurprisingly) Jen pulls off well. Here’s our take on a similar outfit, but if you want to pull the glam factor back a little more, wear an embellished tee or longer tank (opt for a studded design if you desire an edgy, grungier look) rather than a crop top, plus skip the heels and wear flat sandals or sneakers instead.
