Forget tired legs, heaving arms and bulky shopping bags, 21st Century shopping is all about filling our wardrobes with the click of a button. Thanks to the evolution of online shopping, it’s easier than ever to access stores from London to Lebanon from our lounge room. Here are Tragic’s pick of the best in online retail.
If you don’t know that TopShop deliver to Australia for ten ponds FLAT, then you’re probably a lot richer for it. Online you can find the High Street Mecca’s entire rage, including Kate Moss’s sell out collection.
The online branch of this pop-culturised store in Paddington, Sydney is brimming with design pieces from Japan, the US and of course Australia. Hipster Sunglasses, pop-art Poketo wallets and Graniph T-shirts will impress the most seasoned street-wear shopper.
This is no huge secret, but still one of the better online chain-store sites. Witchery’s online branch often posts sales before the actual boutiques, and when the retail stores have sold out, the web still brings up the goods.
One for the boys, Purest Cut is IT for the latest in independent Australian fashion. Look no further than Alpha 60, hyper-colour punks Schwipe and divinely crafted Mjork Mjork.
Where to you shop online? Tell Fashion Tragic your best (or worst) sites and go into the draw to win a double movie pass…

Can we start a campaign here in Australia and lobby GAP & Banana Republic to consider delivering here as well?! There I was drooling over the merchandise in their website, particularly their skinny trousers, and including their web site on fab shoes, only to realise that they don’t deliver here.

Posted by: Dianne Wehbe at June 13th, 2007 12:32 amSick of not being able to find clothes that will fit nicely over your bust as well as everywhere else? This UK retailer not only sells lingere for larger cup sizes, it has a great range of clothing designed to fit ladies of varying bust size. Wish they’d open stores here in Australia! If you need to exchange anything, they won’t charge you postage for the exchange items.
Posted by: Debbie at June 13th, 2007 10:35 amWithout a doubt, my favourite online store is www.asos.com. It has the greatest clothes, shoes, bags and accessories. Anything you have seen a celebrity wearing will be sold on this website - but for a lot cheaper! Unfortunately they do not yet post shoes to Australia but hopefully that will change. Its based in the UK and postage is based on the weight and size of the products. Be careful though, there are a million things you will want to buy!

Zarah is in Singapore. Close enough to Australia, one would think.
Posted by: Elouise at June 14th, 2007 6:14 pmHi, I’m looking for anywhere in Melbourne that stocks vintage Chanel. Can anyone help me?
Posted by: lucy at June 15th, 2007 9:25 pmI just found the perfect Australian site for all the designer jeans and clothes that the celebs are wearing-for a fraction of the price. They’ve even got styles(and brands) that haven’t even hit Australia yet, especially the stuff I’ve been drooling over for ages on the net.
